Eridu is a web-based groupware package written in PHP that aims to provide an entirely web-based open-source standards-based alternative to such professional groupware packages as Microsoft Outlook & Exchange or Lotus Notes & Domino. Eridu aims to implement the same functionality expected of professional groupware software in an operating system-independent package based on the open-source ideology.
Started as a senior design project for a group of students at Georgia Tech, Eridu is growing into a collaborative effort that includes designing and implementing a enterprise-class calendaring server that will function in any environment.
